Please support the efforts of two Mustard Seed School students Tige Anderson (12) and Owen Possick (11) who are currently working with the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe program which turns old, worn out sneakers–sneakers that would have end up in a landfill into playing surfaces for parks, running tracks, and basketball courts.
The goal is to collect more than 500 pairs of sneakers which Nike will then pay for shipping costs to the Reuse-A-Shoe program for recycling. Anyone interested in donating sneakers (no cleats or spikes please) can call 201-798-0507 to arrange for a pickup through February 16th. Shoes may also be dropped off at the bin in the Mayor’s Office in City Hall and at the Mustard Seed School.
